Spicy whole chicken or Murgh mussalam is the traditional fried whole chicken recipe. It is prepared with traditional spices. Marination is the key to its taste. It must be without skin and marinated for at least one hour with the given ingredients.
Yogurt: 250 gm
Green chillies: 10 small
Lemon juice: ½ cup
Garlic powder: 1 tsp
Ginger powder: 1 tsp
Salt: 1 tsp
Carom seeds( roasted ):2 tsp
Cumin seeds (roasted ):2 tsp
Mace: ½ tsp
Nutmeg: ½ tsp
Chilli powder: 2 tsp
Oil ½ cup
1 whole chicken(skinless)
Ground Onion: 1Yogurt: 250 gm
Green chillies: 10 small
Lemon juice: ½ cup
Garlic powder: 1 tsp
Ginger powder: 1 tsp
Salt: 1 tsp
Carom seeds( roasted ):2 tsp
Cumin seeds (roasted ):2 tsp
Mace: ½ tsp
Nutmeg: ½ tsp
Chilli powder: 2 tsp
Oil ½ cup
Directions
1. Marinate chicken in a
large bowl with roasted cumin seeds, g roasted carom seeds, lemon juice. ginger
powder, garlic powder, salt, nutmeg, mace and chilli powder.
2. Marinate for 1 hour.
3. Fry green chilli in hot
oil for a minute.
4. Add marinated chicken
and fry on medium heat for about 10 minutes on each side.
5. Add ground onion and
yogurt, and cook for another 30 minutes
6. Spicy Chicken is ready
to serve.
