Banana Nut Bread Recipe


To make Banana Nut Bread you will need the following ingredients. Make sure you use the right tools to measure dry and liquid ingredients.

Ingredients:

Coarse wholemeal:150g
Self-Rising Flour: 150 grams
Cinnamon powder: 1 teaspoon level
Chopped Nuts: 50 grams
Sunflower Oil: 4 tablespoon
Honey or Golden Syrup: 3 tablespoon
Hot Water: 2 tablespoon
Eggs: 2 (beaten)
Ripe Bananas: 3

Directions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 170°C or 325°F.
  2. Mix flours, nuts and cinnamon powder in a bowl.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat oil, water, honey and eggs.
  4.  Now add mashed bananas.
  5. Combine moist and dry ingredients and stir until smooth.
  6. Transfer the dough to a 2lb loaf tin.
  7. Make a cut lengthwise down the center of the dough.
  8. Bake for maximum one hour until risen and hard.
  9. Allow to cool down before slicing.
  10. Wait for 5 minutes before removing the bread from the tin.
