Ramadan snacks: Vegetable Pakoras


Pakoras
Everyone loves pakoras. There are multiple ways you can change a pakora recipe by adding different vegetables in the batter of gram flour salt, red pepper, dry coriander and cumin seeds. The most liked vegetables are brinjal, spinach, potatoes, onion and cabbage. They can be added together or just one vegetable in the basic mixture at a time.

Main Ingredients:
3/4 cup gram flour
1tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp salt 
1 tsp coriander powder/ or dry coriander
1/2 tsp chaat masala(opt)
two potatoes thinly sliced
once medium onion sliced
a handful of mint and coriander leaves(chopped)
water as required 
oil for deep frying

Recipe

Mix all dry ingredients together and then add sliced potatoes and onions.
Add vegetables and mix.
Add 1/4 cup of water and mix well.
The mixture should not be very thin.
Mix well and leave for five minutes.
Use a spoon to put small portions of the mixture in the oil.
Heat oil and deep fry pakoras on medium heat.
Fry on one side and then the other side.
keep turning about every two minutes for 8-10 minutes.
Serve when cooked on both sides.
